At Revival, our mission is to “help people grow in the image of Jesus Christ.” To that end, we place emphasis on the study of God’s Word and the proclamation of the gospel message—that Jesus Christ died to save us from our sins and He offers us the free gift of eternal life. We are committed to helping people come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, and to walk alongside them as they grow and mature into healthy and productive followers of Christ.
A Statement of Faith is the written declaration of the church’s positions on essential matters that pertain to the exercise of our Christian faith. The following statements comprise Revival Christian Fellowship’s Statement of Faith:
The only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
Worship of God should be spiritual. Therefore, we remain flexible and yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.
Worship of God should be intelligent. Therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshipped.
Worship of God should be fruitful. Therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have been truly worshipping Him.
In all the fundamental doctrines of orthodox evangelical Christianity.
In the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
That God the Father is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of all things.
That Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious death on the Cross, was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.
After Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out His Holy Spirit on the believers in Jerusalem, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.
That all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.
In the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Scriptures, and that they are valid for today if they are exercised within the Scriptural guidelines. We as believers are to covet the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the whole Body of Christ might be edified. We believe that love is more important than the most spectacular gifts, and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless.
That church government should be simplistic rather than a complex bureaucracy and we depend on the Holy Spirit to lead, rather than on fleshly promotion.
We await the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, and we believe that the second coming of Christ with His saints to rule on the earth will be personal, pre-millennial, and visible. This motivates us to holy living, heartfelt worship, committed service, diligent study of God’s Word, regular fellowship, and participation in adult baptism by immersion and Holy Spirit Communion.
We seek to teach the Word of God in such a way that its message can be applied to an individual’s life, leading that person to greater maturity in Christ.
We believe that marriage is a sacrament of the church ordained by God. The church defines “marriage” as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment.
Welcome to Revival! Whether this is your first time or you have been here before, we want to make it clear to you that you are welcome and you are loved! What can you expect to see and experience when you visit Revival?
At Revival, you will experience friendly people, modern worship music, and biblical messages, in a comfortable environment. We want to make you feel as welcome as possible. If you would like to view a past service for an indication of what to expect, you can do so by visiting our webcast archives.
A Typical Service
Services begin with an announcement video to let you know what is happening around Revival. This video is followed by two or three worship songs, and then a prayer or Bible reading by one of our pastors. An offering is then received. (As a visitor you will not be asked or expected to give an offering. You are our guest!) After another song or two, Pastor John will give a message designed to help you apply biblical principles to everyday life. This message will be about 45-50 minutes in length. At the end of the message there will be a closing song. You are welcome to talk to or pray with one of our pastors or staff after the service.
How to Dress
We invite you to dress casually and comfortably. You’ll fit right in. After all, the Bible tells us that God is more concerned with our hearts than He is with how we dress or look (1 Samuel 16:7).
What Revival Believes
At Revival, our mission statement is “Knowing God and making Him known.” We are committed to bringing people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, assisting them to maturity in the Christian faith, and equipping all believers to share the gospel message with as many as will listen. For more on what we believe, view our Statement of Faith.
