We believe the primary way people grow in their relationship with the Lord is to study the Word of God. When you come to Revival Christian Fellowship, you will always hear the Bible taught and preached. We’re going to read the Bible; we’re going to preach the Bible; we’re going to study the Bible, and, God willing, we’re going to live the Bible in our daily lives. We are a Bible-focused, Bible-centered church.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. The whole Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, are complete and sufficient. We believe in the clarity of Scripture and that it is to be interpreted considering the literal, grammatical, and historical aspects of the given text.

There is one true God, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is all-loving, holy, just, self-existent, infinite, unchanging, transcendent, spirit, ever-present, all-knowing, all-powerful, wholly sovereign, and light. We believe that Jesus is God in His very essence and pre-existed as God in all His glory before His incarnation in time and space. Jesus entered the world through the womb of the Virgin Mary taking on full, yet sinless, humanity. He voluntarily died on the Cross a substitutionary death for man’s sin, and then physically rose from the grave three days later. He bodily and visibly ascended back to heaven and is seated and exalted at the right hand of the Father. We are awaiting His physical return to earth to rightfully take His place on the throne of David.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Triune Godhead who convicts, regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals until the day of redemption, sanctifies, teaches, empowers, reveals and guides into all truth. We also believe that every Christian is commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to whom He will, which are valid for today and ought to be used within Scriptural guidelines. We believe that the gifts should be used in love for the building up of the body and for the glory of God.

We believe that Man was created in the image and likeness of God. Man, by Adam and Eve’s disobedience and sin, fell and became separated from God. Thus, all of humanity is born with a sin nature and stands in need of redemption.

We believe that Salvation occurs when the sinner repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. That person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, all of his sins are forgiven and he is justified, which is the act of God whereby He declares the believing sinner righteous, based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

The universal Church is the organic body composed of all true believers, both living and dead, who have been indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ. The church has been called to worship the Lord and share the Good News of Christ’s death and Resurrection with the world, making disciples, baptizing believers, and teaching them to observe sound doctrine and live a morally pure life. We believe church government should be simple rather than a complex bureaucracy, with the utmost dependence upon the Holy Spirit to lead, rather than on fleshly promotion or worldly wisdom. The Lord has given the church two ordinances, which are to continue until He returns: baptism of believers and communion. Water baptism is not necessary for salvation and cannot remove sins, but it is a picture of the salvation already received by the believer. Communion is a memorial of the death of Christ; the bread representing His body and the cup representing His blood observed in remembrance of Him.

Things to Come – We await the imminent pretribulational rapture of the church and the premillennial Second Coming of Christ, which will be physical, personal, and visible. This motivates us to holy living, heart-felt worship, committed service, diligent study of God’s Word, evangelism, and regular fellowship. We believe in the literal 1,000-year reign of Christ here on the earth (the Millennium Kingdom). We believe that all those who have trusted Christ for salvation will enjoy eternal glory with Him forever, and those who reject God’s offer of free salvation in Christ will be eternally separated from the glory of His presence.

Senior Pastor
Pastor John Miller is the Senior Pastor of Revival Christian Fellowship in Menifee, California. He began his pastoral ministry in 1973 by leading a Bible study of six people. God eventually grew that study into Calvary Chapel of San Bernardino, and after pastoring there for 39 years, Pastor John became the Senior Pastor of Revival in June of 2012.
An expository Bible teacher passionate about teaching God’s Word and a heart to mentor pastors, John’s teaching can be heard on radio stations throughout the United States through his program Revival Radio. Pastor John has traveled the world preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ in China, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Europe. He and his wife, Kristy, currently reside in Murrieta, California.

Born and raised in a strong and loving Christian home, I first prayed to ask Jesus into my heart when I was five years old. It was not until I started high school I began to work on developing a strong relationship with God. Right before I started my senior year in high school, I began to work part-time at the church, doing tasks like cleaning the church office and hand-folding the bulletin.
As I began to go to college, I started to think about my future and planned to graduate and start a career in the I.T. field. All the while the Lord was growing Revival, the technology needs began increasing, and my role began to expand. Almost 20 years later, I’ve been amazed at how the Lord has used me to help spread the gospel through the use of technology.

When I was saved at the age of twenty, my eyes were opened to the fact I had wasted all of my life up until that point. From that moment, God gave me a sense of urgency to invest my life in service to Him. Time was short, and I did not want to waste any more of it. I began serving at Calvary Chapel Colton in any way I could. About two years after being saved and serving in any capacity, I was asked to teach junior high and high school students for a short time while the youth leader adjusted his new work schedule. He never returned, and I never stopped. All these years later, my passion is still to serve God and to do so as I serve high school students. “A man or woman who never does anything except what can be done easily will never do anything worth doing at all.” R. I was not raised in a Christian home. My parents divorced when I was 13. I lived with my mom, and in my lack of a father figure, I rebelled and sought my own way of learning about life. I made many mistakes while pursuing the meaning of life, leading to bad acquaintances, drugs, alcohol, and immoral relationships. However, God would not give up on me. In 1992 my neighbor, Pete Mungo, invited me to Calvary Chapel of Menifee’s first Easter sunrise service. The love of God was manifested through the people I came in contact with. I was drawn back to Revival over and over again.
I made excuses not to attend the Harvest Crusade in 1993 because I was still drinking alcohol and smoking pot. However, God had a different plan. That Saturday of the crusade, I turned on the radio in my garage, and at that moment, Greg Laurie was giving the altar call. The Holy Spirit moved upon my heart, and I sat on the hood of my car and gave my life to the Lord. He has taken away the desire to drink and do drugs. He is my joy and fulfillment; He has changed my life and continues to do so (Philippians 1:6). Praise Him!

I was born and raised in Southern California and gave my life to Christ when I was 16 years old after seeing the radical change in a high school friend who had become a Christian only a few months before. My life was transformed, and I have never looked back! I have been a Pastor since 1988, initially serving in middle school and high school ministries. For the last 20 years, my passion has been young adult ministry. Young adulthood is the time of life when people are making life-long decisions, like what they will do for a living, who they will marry, and the kind of person they will be. It is so important that Christ is the foundation on which they stand as they make these major decisions in life. I’m grateful to God for allowing me to teach His Word to these young people!

I came to know the Lord in March of 2016 at Revival Christian Fellowship. Before then, I lived purely for myself, always seeking & searching for the next high or thrill. I was an alcoholic and addicted to drugs from my early years in high school, but God had mercy on me and gave my life new meaning and a new purpose. Once I’d given my life to Christ, I began to desire to serve the Lord and fulfill God’s call on my life. I started attending the Foundations in Truth class along with Equipped to Serve at Revival, taught by Pastor Taige. I began being discipled and learned the true meaning of servanthood and ministry. Shortly after that, I felt God directing me to Youth Ministry, and since 2018, I have had the privilege of leading the Jr. High Ministry at Revival. My wife, Alysha, who I met at Revival while a part of the Young Adult ministry, serves alongside me. Our heart is to see young students grow in their faith in Christ and be used for God’s glory and kingdom. My wife and I enjoy watching movies or hanging out by the beach when not involved in ministry. Some of the hobbies I enjoy are sports and going to the gym. A verse that has always stuck with me and that I would say is one of my favorites is John 3:30 - “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

My walk with Jesus started in 1993. God delivered me from a life of crime and drugs to a love for His people and Heaven. I met my wife Ginger, who led worship at Calvary Chapel South Bay, and we married in 1995. My discipleship and ministerial training started at Calvary Chapel South Bay, where I began as an intern. There, I accepted the role of Youth Pastor, where I developed the ministry for five years. God called me into Campus Outreach, a ministry where we established Bible clubs on high school and junior high public school campuses. We had over 34 Bible clubs that met during school lunchtimes. We enjoyed this outreach ministry for two years until God called us to the Temecula Valley area in 2001. I was the Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Bible Fellowship for 15 years. God brought me to Revival Christian Fellowship in 2016, where I have the privilege to help with Christian discipleship in our Foundations in Truth and Equipped to Serve classes. I also serve in our Gatekeepers Security Ministry and our Ushers’ Ministry. I enjoy the outdoors, MMA, and golf when not involved in ministry. One of my favorite Bible verses is in 1 Corinthians 1:27 – “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.”

I met the Lord in 1986 at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. After years of professional and financial success and what seemed to be the attaining of the “American Dream,” my life had become a nightmare of misery, self-indulgence devoid of any real sense of purpose.
After seeking answers through psychotherapy, self-help, and various religious philosophies, the Lord found me, saved me, and changed me. My salvation was radical in every way as I experienced forgiveness, new life, meaning and purpose in life, and hope beyond anything I knew could exist. That living hope still burns bright within my heart today after many years of walking with the Lord and almost 30 years of pastoral ministry.

My heart’s desire was to have a home and family life that seemed "normal." Like so many in the world, my family life was unstable. Growing up, we had moved at least a dozen times before graduating high school, and outside of moving between houses, moving between parents, all I can remember is playing baseball. Jesus saved me by using the faithful, dedicated, godly example of my wife's family. Hebrews 13:21 says, "May He equip you with all you need for doing His will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to Him forever and ever! Amen." Over the years, the Lord has moved me from working in technology at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa and Revival to Children's Ministry. Together with an amazing staff and volunteers we delight in the opportunity to minister to families!

As a young kid, I loved skateboarding and hanging out in parking lots, where I befriended an older group of kids. Through those friendships, I started using drugs. Growing up in a small town, we had to create our own fun. At 13, I thought doing drugs was the coolest thing ever. Yet, through junior high and high school, I envisioned attending college and becoming a successful architect. During this time, I was expelled from school, arrested many times, went to juvenile hall, and almost ended up in the CA Division of Juvenile Justice. It never crossed my mind my dream was slipping away; I was so blind.
Finally, for the first time, I could not envision a successful life or a future. I destroyed all my relationships with family and friends due to the influence of drugs. Shortly after turning 18, I was allowed the choice of rehab over jail. The only place that would take me was a Christian program. Although I grew up, I rarely attended church and didn't know anything about God. I hated being there and was determined to do my time and get back to my life. But one day, while in small groups, the pastor shared about Jesus and the two thieves on the cross. Something clicked in my heart. I knew I needed Jesus, and I prayed and asked Him to come into my heart. I can't say I felt I had received Jesus that day; instead, I felt He accepted me.
