Parents, on Friday, April 26 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm bring your Jr. High student to our Jr. High Movie Night. We will be showing the movie “The Prince of Egypt” which is the story of the life of Moses. Make sure to have your student bring sweets and popcorn. The movie night will take place in Room 22.
Beginning on Friday, April 26 at 7:00 pm Pastor Todd will start a monthly series of teachings at the Young Adult Study he’s titled, “Hot Potatoes.” Why Hot Potatoes? Because this series is going to address the topics that our society has strong opinions about, and questions that Christians are looking for biblical answers to. Many churches today tend to avoid these topics, considering them too hot to handle. Topics like: Homosexuality, Transgenderism, Is Science the Enemy of Faith, The Abortion Debate, Is Hell Real, and many others. The Hot Potato Series will face these issues head-on, with sensitivity, but not compromising the truth of what God has said in the Bible. The Hot Potato Series will be every fourth Friday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Loft, beginning April 26th. We hope to see you there!
Our next Mexico Mission trip is right around the corner. We are heading to Mexico the weekend of May 17-19. This trip is an awesome opportunity to show the love of Christ with those we will minister to over the weekend. So make sure you join us for this life-changing trip and we will see you at the mandatory meeting on Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 PM and Thursday, May 16 at 7:00 PM.
Ladies, on Saturday, May 4 you are invited to our women’s conference. We are thrilled to have three great speakers Melanie Brown, Cathy Dickinson and Sandy Macintosh. This year’s teaching will focus on John chapter 4 and the story of the Woman at the Well. Through the day ladies, you’ll see how Jesus offered the woman living water, taught her about living worship, and see she became a living witness for her Messiah. Join us as we learn God’s heart for us in this story of one woman’s journey to faith.
Doors will open at 8:30 am and the conference will begin at 9:00 am. Lunch is not provided for this event, but there will be a 90-minute break to allow ladies to have lunch at a local restaurant or bring a lunch and eat on site.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central truth of Christianity; without it, there is no such thing as the Christian faith. The empty tomb means that sin, death, and the grave have no power over Christ. The resurrection means Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose on the third day “so that whosoever believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life.”
We want to invite you to join us on Easter weekend. On Good Friday, April 19 we will have two communion services: a one-hour traditional service at noon and contemporary service at 7:00 pm.
On Saturday, April 20 at 6:00 pm and on Sunday, April 21 at 8, 9:45, and 11:30 am Pastor John will preach the gospel and give people an opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Easter is the perfect time to invite family, friends, and neighbors for an inspired time of worship as well as a clear gospel message. We love to celebrate Easter in a big way, and this year, we hope to see you there!
