Kids Christmas Choir

CHOIR EXPECTATIONS:

• Attend services at Revival on a regular basis (2nd-12th grade)
• Audition (9/14 or 9/17)
• Enjoy performing (smiling and singing loud)
• Confidence in reading lyrics and memorizing songs (and memorizing/speaking lines if applicable)
• Practice on their own time
• Be respectful of others and follow instructions   
• REHEARSALS:
  • Must attend all 4 Mandatory Rehearsals (See Below – no exceptions on these)
  • Can only miss one (1) Regular Rehearsal (See Below)
• PERFORMANCES:
  • Perform at both Revival Family Christmas (12/7) and Morning Services (12/14)

FULL CHOIR REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:>

EVERY WEDNESDAY (can only miss one)

• Sept: 24 (Parent Meeting 5:15-6pm) /  Oct: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29  /  Nov: 5, 12, 19  /  Dec: 3   (we will NOT meet on Nov 26 or Dec 10)
• Soloists:  4:15-6:30pm (check-in to Sanctuary to rehearse w/ Nathan – we will walk them at 5:15 to join the choir)
• Full Choir:  5:15-6:30pm (check-in at 5pm downstairs to get name tags)
• Actors:  5:15-7:00pm (they will stay an additional 30min from 6:30-7:00pm)

       If Kids are Staying for Wednesday Night Service:

• • Jr High/High School: We will release them to walk to their rooms for service.
  • 2nd-5th Grade: Parents must check-out kids from choir before checking in to service (you will need to check-in for service at the computers downstairs like usual).
  • Actors: Can be checked into service at choir check-in, and we will take them to class for service.

MANDATORY REHEARSALS (cannot be missed)

• 10/26, Sunday (1:30-3:00pm): With the Live Band
• 11/23, Sunday (1:30-3:00pm): With the Live Band
• 12/6,  Saturday (4:00-8:00pm): DRESS REHEARSAL
  • Kids DO NOT need to come in their Performance Attire
  • We WILL be doing costume changes for Actors (please bring your underclothes that you will wear for the performance)
  • Please sign up to bring a food item if you would like (CLICK HERE)
  • We will be collecting monetary donations for Pizza for dinner (pepperoni and cheese)
  • If your child does not like pizza they can bring their own dinner packed in a lunch box
• 12/11, Thursday (4:30-5:30pm): 2nd-5th grade only

REQUIRED PERFORMANCES:

REVIVAL FAMILY CHRISTMAS  (Sunday 12/7)

• • 4:00pm              Food Vendors will be open
  • 4:30pm              Arrive Fully Dressed and Ready (eat dinner before)
  • 5:30-6:30pm     Performance
  • 6:30-7:30pm     Family Activities

MORNING SERVICES (Sunday 12/14)

• • 7:00am       2nd-5th grade arrives
  • 8:00am       1st Service Performance (2nd-5th on stage)
  • 9:15am        6th-12th grade arrive
  • 9:45am       2nd Service Performances (2nd-5th on stage / Jr High & High School in Room 31)
  • 11:30am      3rd Service Performances (2nd-5th on stage / Jr High & High School in Room 31)
  • 11:45am      Dismissal

OPTIONAL PERFORMANCE:

REVIVAL SENIORS FELLOWSHIP (Tuesday 12/16)

• • Arrive: 10:00am at Revival (Check-in Room 2 downstairs)
  • Performance: 11:00am (Check-out in Room 2)
  • Will perform 3 songs
  • Parents must stay (this is not a drop-off event)
  • Please wear your Christmas Performance Attire

PERFORMANCE ATTIRE (for both Revival Family Christmas and the Morning Services):

*No hats or light-up necklaces. Headbands for girls are ok if they are in the colors listed.

GIRLS:

• Dresses or Dress Pants with a Dress Shirt      
• Dresses: Red, Black or Green – high neckline/below knees
• Tights/Leggings are encouraged with dresses
• Dress Shirt: Red, Black or Green
• Dress Pants: Black or Gray
• Dress Shoes (no sneakers)
• Dress Coat encouraged
• Makeup optional

BOYS:

• Dress Pants: Black or Gray
• Dress Shirt: Red, Black or Green
• Dress Shoes (no sneakers)
• Ties optional
• Dress Coat Optional

COSTUMES FOR ACTORS (Revival Family Christmas only):

• Costumes will be provided by Revival Kids
• ACTORS: Please wear the following under your Performance Attire (nice clothes), or bring with you to change into when you put your costume on. Kids will be changing in an EZ Up tent outside (costumes will be hung under the tent/you can drop off extra clothes to the tent on the day of). They will need to have something on under their Performance Attire that keeps them covered while changing (they cannot completely undress):
  • Mary / Angels:   White long sleeve shirt, white pants/leggings, black or white shoe
  • All Other Actors:  Black long sleeve shirt, black pants/leggings, black shoes
