A Checklist for Choosing Deacons – Part 1

It takes a lot to keep a local congregation running smoothly.  There are bills to pay, roofs to replace, grass that needs mowing, etc., etc., etc.  Today, Pastor John shows that God has designed various roles for different people.  There’s a ministry of teaching, shepherding, and prayer that your pastoral leaders must be devoted to.  But who’ll take care of the other stuff?  Those are the “deacons.”  When you and the other members of the church are working together, according to God’s plan, God’s work will get done.
