My Own Son – Part 2

You hear it all the time, “I hope I can make it back home safely before that storm hits.”  “I hope I can see my friend sometime in the next week.”  “I hope I don’t get sick before my birthday.”  These are examples of a hope that’s wishful thinking.  The hope that Paul is talking about here in 1^st Timothy is a different kind of hope.  Today, Pastor John expands on this idea of a true, confident hope that you’re assured will happen; it’s just a matter of time.  It’s more like looking forward to a sure thing!
