You’ve probably heard, in that beautiful King James language, “Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.”  But, how does that work?  What’s so comforting about a rod and a staff in the hand of a shepherd?  Today, Pastor John explores that metaphor by showing that it represents two aspects of Jesus’s protection of you.  First, He stands opposed to the enemies of your soul.  And second, He’s ready to pull you back to the path when you stray.  And the result is that you can confidently say, “I will fear no evil.”

Now, let’s join Pastor John in the book of Psalms, chapter 23, as he continues his message, I Shall Not Want for Courage.
