Sometimes we Christians throw around phrases like “being saved” somewhat indiscriminately.  It’s as though it has just one simple meaning.  But today, Pastor John points out why it’s so important to read the Bible carefully and contextually.  “Being saved” occurs in three tenses.  You were saved from the penalty of sin when you trusted in Christ.  You’re being saved from the power of sin as you live submitted to Christ.  And you will be saved from the presence of sin when Jesus raises you to eternal life.

Now, let’s join Pastor John in the book of Titus, chapter 1, as he continues his message, The Facets of a Faithful Servant.
