1:12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Don’t you love the engagement season? A couple’s looking ahead with such anticipation and excitement! But that time of being a “fiancée” is only temporary. It’s not a long-term situation, and what Pastor John’s getting at today is that God’s Holy Spirit in us is like a down payment, or like an engagement ring – promising something even better for the future. As the Holy Spirit resides within you at this time, look forward to what’s ahead when you get to be with God the Father!
