17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Although we may experience a momentary time when our behavior does not match up to our belief may we remember that this is not who we are in God’s eyes. Instead, we are who we are by what God says to us through his saving Word. We trust in the Lord and that is how we keep on going. If there are a few bumps, in the road, this will not stop us as we gladly go on pleasing Jesus!

I met the Lord in 1986 at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. After years of professional and financial success and what seemed to be the attaining of the “American Dream,” my life had become a nightmare of misery, self-indulgence devoid of any real sense of purpose. After seeking answers through psychotherapy, self-help and various religious philosophies the Lord found me, saved me and changed me. My salvation was radical in every way as I experienced forgiveness, new life, meaning and purpose in life and hope beyond anything I knew could exist. That living hope still burns bright within my heart today after many years of walking with the Lord and almost 30 years of pastoral ministry.
